As most of you are aware, I was let go from Zions Bank back at the end of May and have been searching for employment since then.  Well, last week I started a new job with Coda Octopus Colmek.  The company is an engineering firm that makes custom hardware and rugged computers for military/defense, aerospace, mining/oil & gas exploration.  It is a very diverse company that is involved in many different projects for a wide variety of clients.  Today was a big day as I finally grasp the concept of one of the projects that I was working on.  It was like a light turned on and I think I actually felt the clarity rush through my body.  Anyway it should be a great opportunity and I am looking forward to the future here.

Now the only thing left up in the air is Lily.  We are still tracking toward September 14th and everything is looking good.  Ashley is doing great and Lily is just plugging along.  I have been lucky enough to feel her hick a few times and one night I even got to see Ashley's stomach wiggle. We have been going through some classes at the hospital and they have been quit good.  I do have to say that I am not sure that showing the worst case scenario sets many people at ease.  I also maintain that if men had to do all of the stuff women have to do, we would have a ton less people in the world...

This last weekend Ashley and I helped support the Tour de Park City.  It is a 175 Mile Race and Bike Tour through the Unitas.  The winner did it in 8 hours and 3 minutes!  Amazing if you ask me.  We had very few incidents this year.  Last year we had a really bad one that a guy had to get air-lifted to the hospital.  This year the worst injury was 2 broken ribs.  The event season is winding down, I only have about 3 more this season.  That is actually a good thing with Lily coming and the new job.  I wasn't nearly as prepared for the Tour de Park City as I have been for other events and that was 100% due to my focus on the new job.

Anyway, hope all is well for you.  As part of the new job we use Skype a lot, so if you are on Skype look me up and give me a ring.
