Happy 4th of July to everybody!
Yesterday Ashley and I had a very active day. We started off by taking our mountain bikes on their (and our) first real mountain journey. We headed up to Deer Valley, took the chair lift up and started riding on a few of their trails. It was great! The temperature was in the upper 80s (20 degrees less then in the valley) and it was slightly overcast. The bikes preformed great and both Ashley and I are getting better at trusting them.
After that we went over to Kris & Lissa's house for a BBQ with a lot of my friends. Thanks guys for inviting us over, it is really great to be able to get everybody together. Kris & Lissa have a nice sized backyard with a great view of the Sugarhouse Fireworks. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay that long as we were having dinner with Ashley's parents. After dinner there was a nice firework show and we were even able to see the ones at Sugarhouse Park (seen above).
All in all it was a great day. Today we are going to see a movie (which we haven't done forever) and get dinner at a new (to us) restaurant.
